Hi, I've only had my E350e for about 3 weeks so apologies if this is a stupid question!

Up until yeterday I was using the Mercedes Me app on my phone and also the web page to check on the status of the car, mainly while charging. It's now not updating. I've checked the car end of things through System-Connectivity-Internet Status and it shows as 'Offline' with it flashing 'Connecting' briefly every 10 seconds or so before returning to Offline. The SOS is showing as ready to use if this is relevant?

The only thing I can think of doing is the reset via System-Connectivity-Reset. It warns that it will delete all data. Does anyone know what data this deletes and if it's likely to make any difference in any case?

My Mercedes me has been down since Wednesday, have just been informed by Mercedes that this affects the whole of the U.K., and they have no idea when it will be resolved.

Absolutely appalling contingency planning, they say they still don't know what the issue is.

They are probably relying on a mobile network operator so not everything is under their control. Chances are they will claim money for the downtime anyway

It may be an Area Glitch, We are in Lincolnshire at the moment and I have been using Mercedes Me Mobility to send Visitor Attraction Post Codes to my W213 all week with no problems encountered!:p

If only I could work out how to send postcodes to the car too! I gave up in the end and just use voice entry. I’ve got to say the voice recognition part at least is one of the best I’ve come across.

If you have got as far as the "Voice" entry, just keep finger selecting the voice line and it asks "Where do you want to go? Add the Post Code and send it to your Vehicle, this never worked on my W205,:wallbash: but I find it a very useful tool on the W213!:D

All working today. I guess it was a system outage.
Noticed its back up and running after logging in from the laptop, a Customer Service agent did mention its been down all week, by the time i'd called them i'd already cleared cache, signed out and in and deleted the app severally lolll.
Anyone here know how to use the hotspot while sharing mobile data instead of paying for the crappy vodafone 3G snail service.

You can’t use your phone hotspot if you have the Wi-Fi in the car (even if not enabled) other than directly from your phone to one log on device. I find the Vodafone service on the Hermes Module is very fast it is 4G LTE on my car - and through that multiple people/devices can be logged on at once. Great for non cellular iPads in the back!

Strange they locked that out if so! Ridiculous to have to be limited to that, I really don’t need that function when I have a mobile with hotspots capabilities and loads of data to burn too!

It's just that the WiFi on any device can either act as a hot-spot or client
