Can any owner (@Alps?) give the definitive answer about the performance exhaust fitted to the above car?
Exactly when did Mercedes fit the quieter version with the OPF valve that mutes the noise so much?
I have a feeling it is on cars post 2019 ie, 69 plate onwards.
Does the inclusion of the IWC clock on the dash indicate its got the louder exhaust? I do know the clock was discontinued on the facelifted version but unsure when this was.
Cheers for any info:thumb:

The quieter OPF version is the 2019 facelift (you can tell easily by the newer steering wheel), I believe the secondary cats were replaced with the OPF.

I have one and it really is significantly quieter than the pre facelift!

pre 2017 - 60 l fuel tank
2018 - 80l tank + late ones they changed the steering wheels
2019 - opf fitted and updated electronics - late ones had the AMG Drive Unit (extra steering controls)
2020- they facelift them to include the new MBUX system , different front end and different rear (inc lights on saloon).

All had IWC clocks as far as I know, tbh mine has opf and performance exhaust and side by side with the flaps open it sounds just as loud as non opf versions.

hope that helps!

On the hunt Rog?

The 80L tank is an option I believe (mine annoyingly doesn’t have it).

I also have the performance exhaust but it definitely seems quieter in comparison to the pre facelift IMO.

Are there any easy way to tell if it has an 80 litre tank?

The options list them (taken from another thread):

Most in the UK appear to have:
'916 Fuel tank with large capacity - Volume 1' which appears to be 66L (I don't consider 66L to be large but heho! ;)

newer cars made this year appear to have:
'915 Fuel tank with increased capacity - Volume2' which appears to be 80L

80l tank was definitely standard on the 2018+ models, data card is the only real way of checking.

I couldn’t say for sure on this model, but large tank options for other Mercedes models in other markets are usually part of the standard specification in the UK. As suggested, the data card is the only way to be sure.

OK, to summarise?
up to 2018 68 plate has the non OPF exhaust , 68 plate cars have the updated steering wheel.
Anyone have the Option code for the non OPF performance exhaust so I can double check.?

not sure if the options codes differ on opf and non opf. just assume 19 plate will be opf. Performance exhaust will have the exhaust button in the gear selector area, im fairly sure it was standard on the 19 plate s models.

CORRECTED

Mine has that too 598 indicates OPF as SPARKEE said.

Could always remove it and go aftermarket, I would, which would help widen the search. My friend added a resistor module to fool the ecu from throwing a dash light and feature obviously was made redundant. Best to inform the insurers too of any exhaust mods, some insurers are like rats, will like look for anything to void pay out in the event of an accident claim and some won't even insure. 🤷
