hi, hoping someone can give some advice...
I have an 2017 E220d W213. It had a analogue + small lcd which i recently had changed to a full digital widescreen cluster. the headunit was also replaced to get the widescreen. and also the USB port box was change to the one with small phone/tablet sign to be able to get carplay. Everything works as it should apart from the DAB radio and carplay/android auto. Carplay/Android Auto is activated in that it shows up in the menus but when you plug in a phone (to either port) nothing happens apart from the phones charging.

I can live without the DAB but really want the carplay/android auto working. The guy who did the work just could not get it working. He tried repinning the USB port connector cable in lots of different configurations and all sorts of coding but it just wouldn't work.

Is there anyone (especially retrofitters) who have come across this and know what the issue is?
I'm in Bristol but happy to travel if someone knows how to fix it.

thanks in advance

Give Mark or Richard a call at CommandOnline.
They can probably fix the issue but working on someone else's install may be a problem. But worth an ask.

I doubt the installer updated the datacard so couldn't SCN code it (may not have had Online Xentry) and probably hand coded it wrongly and didn't understand how DAB system differs (parts are needed) or the different wiring configurations for the USB ports.

I suspect this means they wont have transferred service history from old cluster to new, so likely it wont ask for the correct service at the correct time, and they probably didn't install the required cooling fan system for the new cluster.

We can fix the DAB and CarPlay at www.comand.co.uk (comand/comand online), although working through someone else's install is always a pain as you don't know what they fudged. We would want to update the records at Mercedes to stop it all going wrong later when serviced etc.

We probably won't touch the cluster though - too much to go wrong with all the settings etc - sorry !
