W219 gearbox problem

Hi , car has been stood a couple of weeks and when started got a rough grumbling sound when put into reverse, put back into park and went away, tried drive and it was there but not as pronounced, tried driving slowly and it faded so at first thought it might have been sticking brakes, did my thing and parked up, 4 days later started again but now more violent in reverse but nothing in drive except a clunky transfer, went through box again and noisy in park, scared to drive it now as don't want to do more damage, any suggestions please

Recovery to your local specialist?
Or get the fault codes read in situ?

Hi there are no faults showing up on the dash unless they would on the plug in

Fault codes will be stored and read by a diagnostic reader .
The fact there isn’t a dash engine management light doesn’t mean there are not fault codes
