Hi All

Have a 2005 w220 s320cdi
Car is great, over the last week i’ve noticed if parked in one place for some time the front suspension drops a few inches.
i’ve had codes check and none were there and no airmatic warning lights have come on the dash.
Bit stumped really, happy to get it fixed myself if need to.
When i unlock the car, i can hear pump come on for a few seconds and raises the car, will raise up fine when button in car is pressed and when dropped goes back to the correct height.
i’ve read it could be level sensors?
or is their a way to check the struts?
Any help would be much appreciated.

From what I have read about the subject of air suspension it sound like a struts would be the likely cause, but this air suspension can be an expensive game and often a star diagnosis can identify the problem or problems, usually when the valve block is an issue it will pump the air from the reserve and raise the car overnight but if yours is dropping in the front you may want to check the top of the struts in the engine bay and see if there are any hairline cracks on the plates where the air pipes goes in. You can usually fix this with a kit from MB or a hack that will work is to cover the area with glue and you will find it seals any air leaks.

My R class has the same issue, it's in the indi at the moment. Should have a idea of the issue tomorrow, will post their findings.

Just had the call with the findings on my R class, front strut leaking, £920 fitted. Strut arriving Monday. Indi advised not to drive the car due to the constant strain on the compressor to replace lost air.
I did think it would have been more than that.
I would suggest getting your car looked at asap.
