I am doing some diagnostic on my 2009 W221 S320 CDI which has an airmatic malfunction, so had the undertrays off today.
Under the radiator/intercooler there seems to be a radiator or core support panel (painted black) running across the front of the car behind the bumper. On the passenger side it's pretty rotten at the bottom and big chunks have come off.
Couple of questions, is this a serious problem that needs urgent attention and secondly (if so) is it a part that can be bolted in? I am potentially being dim, but I could really make out its purpose as didn't seem as if the radiator was fixed to it?
