Hey folks !

just bought this car with 80k on the clock and pretty impressed so far - my first ever Merc .

has anyone got any guidance on getting the COMAND system to take bluetooth audio from my phone? I have connected the phone ok for calls but unclear how I can get music to play.

I am guessing on a 2006 car you probably have an NTG 2 which unfortunately will not accept blue tooth. However, they do, sometimes, put a jack in the glove compartment which you can use a dongle on as I did on my 2007 B Class, a bluetooth stereo receiver.

unfortunately no aux/jack input in the car...will have to get it added I guess...

With a facelift S/CL, you can buy a Bluetooth module but not on a pre-facelift as I don't think it has the right connector in the glovebox.

Replacing the head unit is usually an option if you want to add Bluetooth etc...

Look on eBay. There are loads of cheapo-cheapo all-singing all-dancing Chinese units (yes, I know, they're all crap, rubbish, etc. but actually, an S211 I bought had one already fitted, and it worked perfectly...) on there, and if you buy one that is stated to be plug-and-play for your car, if it isn't you can always simply return it for a refund.

If the car is a keeper Comand Online (forum sponsor) could no doubt sort something out, and it will be very good, but it will cost...
