W222 S350d AMG Line

I'm very close to pushing the button on a new one of these. Don't know a lot about them so what's the opinion from you Merc cognoscenti?

Now on my 5th CLS and tempted to get another, but I fancy scratching an itch and having a change.

Hey heres a picture of mine (excuse the Instagram filter effects ha) drive wise i think its one of the smoothest cars around the interior is pure luxury. Had a problem with squeaky brakes on mine which Mercedes say they wont sort out oh well ha! Otherwise cant really fault the car the sclass is a special car and you can understand why it wins best luxury car of the year many times. The depreciation on them is scary though ha!

Not had a go in one yet, but I rather like the look of the latest generation W222. I think it has an excellent balance of subtlety and presence. I can't help with anything meaningful other than to say "scratch".

Ricky's car looks lovely, and possibly even nicer from the rear quarter IMHO.

I'm hoping this car is as good as they say it is. I test drove a new, high spec E220d a month back and it was incredibly good. The W222 is, what, 25k more list (?), but seems to have a much higher level of discounting. One could possibly end up paying less for a low spec W222, than a high spec petrol E class.

Mercedes finance offer on the W222 was huge recently, about 16K (dealer and MB) reduction from list. Getting quotes via CarWow* reduced that even further, so the final price inc options was 5k less than list.
