Hey guys just bought a 2007 B200 turbo for a great price, after doing plenty of research I'm trying to get head of the game if the CVT has issues. Has anyone considered a full auto swap? If so which gearbox might fit?
My old W254 180d with regular oil changes I did 125k miles with no issues, and there are a number of specialist, certainly in the UK and I would guess Australia as well who specialise in CVT rebuilds as there are no so many cars with that type of gearbox in.

Thanks Benz everything seems fine I'm just thinking if something ever did happen why would I replace it with the same IF there was a reasonable option for something else

Replacing it with a manual box might be possible but the engine ECU would likely want to 'see' the CVT. Maybe with manual's ECU - and pedal box - and whatever else. A lot of work and unknowns.
