W245 - will a sofa fit?

Away from home at moment - anybody have experience of getting a 2 seater reclining sofa in the back? Pretty standard leather sofa with a head-height back. I do realise tailgate will probably need to be tied down as length of sofa is 160cm

When I had mine, I once put a king size bed on the back in 2 halves where each half was 1.5m x 1m, went in easy with obviously the back seats down. You may have to move your front seats forward to get the sofa in.

The 169/245 are deceptively roomy, and with cushions removed and backrests folded down, they turn into a reasonable mini-van - when we moved to this village I transported a number of item you'd never think will fit into an A class. In fact, I only put the rear seats back in yesterday, to take some pics as I'm selling the car ... for the two of us it was a perfect solution.
