Some hopefully useful info' about the engine bay fuse box on my new W247. Firstly, the fuse allocation diagram has been moved to this fuse box. (It was in the front passenger footwell box on my old W246).
Also, the fuse box cover is secured by 3 clips and 2 screws. They don't want it going anywhere. The screws are not the Phillips No.2 that I was expecting, but T20 (I knew that multi-bit chubby ratchet screwdriver would earn its keep one day) and are the "capture" type, so they shouldn't fall out into the nether regions of the engine bay.
I still have to do some work in the front footwell fuse box, but the weather isn't co-operating. The manual says it also has clips and screws. If it uses a different type and/or size of screw, I'll let you know.
PS. I've scanned the fuse allocation chart. Online info' on the W247 seems non-existent, even an online user manual. It's only been 3 years, M-B. If you wish and if it won't cause any copyright problems, I'll upload the files.
