Hi folks.
I have a small camper conversion business in Cornwall, a customer has got a W447 shape vito panel van with the "load through" front bench seat arrangement.
She would like to change this for a single passenger seat, which on the face of it looks quite complicated, however I have been looking at the seats today and the double bench seat seems to be bolted onto a single seat base with 4 bolts, is it simply the case that I remove the double seat and the bracing bar system that runs between the 2 B-pillar bases and source a single seat to bolt onto the base that is left??
Many thanks in advance.

Yes it can be done but you need also the base for the single seat. We went the other way from 2 single seats to the bench. You may find that you will have alter the floor covering that runs under the bench as the single seat base sits on the metal. If you don't put a seat on the passenger side it will look very unfinished.

Thanks Marku.
Will it also need a new base for the driver seat?
what is currently there looks identical (but mirrored) on both sides.

If you have the bench seat currently installed and replace it with the single seats they will each need their individual base. I would expect that the replacement seat would come with its base.

Marku is yours the W447 shape?

No but I think you will find that the floor pan is common and that the "look" is largely cosmetic.
