Ebay's driving me insane... everyone is listing roof bars as roof racks, so now I can't find the roof racks! grrr!

I'm hoping someone has a cheap roof rack to fit a set of bars I bought off another member a few weeks ago...

I am looking for the cheapest of the cheap, rust, etc not a problem! They don't need to look good, just carry a few fuel cans and spare tyres!

Finger's crossed!

Cant you just make up some wood batons between the two roof bars?

Get some plyboard and cut it into strips. Would be cheap and chearful but do the job.

That's my last resort! I've also been looking at scrap metal and welding it myself - but I fear aluminium will be too flimsy and steel too heavy.... not too mention metal prices are ridiculous!

I've managed to get my hands on a Vauxhall roof rack (and roof bars) - not sure for what model though... sadly, the rack doesn't fit the MB bars... So if I can either find someone who wants to swap, or a way of adapting the clamps to fit the merc bars - that would work too... ideas? (duct tape isn't an option this time :p)

How did I not see that!? You're a star! Now I must hope no-one else bids....

Otherwise I'll just buy 4 U-bolts and bolt the vauxhall oen down!

That's my pet hate! Not the inflatable aspect, but companies calling roof bars roof racks! Handi-Rack is a set of roof bars, not a roof rack. I can't fit fuel cans on a roof bar, I can fit them on a rack!

(not a bash at you, just generic bash at the company and all the ebay sellers that make my life difficult :P)
