<div class="bbWrapper">There are a few answers<br /> <br /> 1) When it looks dirty<br /> 2) After washing (if you have time)<br /> 3) When the surface does not feel 'slippy' any more<br /> 4) When you have time<br /> 5) When you need to get out of the house<br /> <br /> Claying should be about ever 3-6months, depending on how much sap and stuff lands on ones car.</div>
 
<div class="bbWrapper">The serious answer is it depends what wax you are using. Depending on the wax and the durability of it anything between 3 weeks and 6 months+.<br /> <br /> The most durable that I know and gives very acceptable performance is Collinite 476s which has been reported to last up to 9 months + (by lasting I mean beads water well and keeps the flanks of the car dry when raining as it all runs off) The most fragile waxes for durability that I know are P21s and &amp; Pinnacle Souveran though the finish from these are excellent, wet deep and glossy. Most detailers use these for shows and concourse.<br /> <br /> I have P21s, Collinite but at the moment I am using a wax with a great balance of finish and durability called Chemical Guys 50/50. I also use Victoria waxes which are fabulous particularly on silver. <br /> <br /> To summarise if it's durability you want Collinite is unbeatable and at £15 odd a tin won't break the bank either. For £20 - £40 though you could get waxes with a better finish and acceptable levels of durability. For £120 a fabulous wax is Swissol Best of Show or BOS which offers a supreme finish with excellent durability. For £7000 you can get Zymol Royale which when layered will last indefinately but fear not as you get free refills for life. There are lots in between of course but that os for another day!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">When the car is taking a long time to dry and isn't as slippery as it was that IMHO is the best time to re-apply wax.<br /> <br /> The best waxes that i've found for mercedes paints are Zymol Glasur or Zymol concours.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Currently use Swissol Saphir Wax (now Swissvax). Wash weekly with Zymol car bath. Wax every 2-3 months. Twice a year normally autumn &amp; spring, wash, clay, wash, pre wax oil, wax (wait 3 hours) wax again. The wax is the best I have ever used only need a very small amount so the pot does go a very long way.<br /> <br /> Regards<br /> <br /> Steve</div>

I have tried Meguiars #84 #83 #7 then HD Cleanse and Glasur and am now testing some Poorboys products. Polymer sealants will last a lot longer but give a different effect to Carnauba waxes. Have a read with a cuppa <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" />.</div>
