Hello,

I took the plunge on Monday and bought a 1994 Red C180 on Monday.

Having got it home I've done some research. Isn't the internet marvelous and the wealth of information I found was staggering.

I wondered what the Sportline badges under the indicators meant and all I could find was information on W124(?) and W201(?) varients from wikipedia at Mercedes-Benz W124 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

How do I check if this C180 has a pucker sportline package option and not just the badges?
Is this a rare find these days?

Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be posting some more in the near future.

Until then, kind regards,

Ian

Welcome to the forum.

"sportline" isn't a factory trim level for the W202 so I'm afraid it's just badges. Before you're too upset can you describe some of the interior or take some pics please so we can work out which trim spec it is. Valid levels would be Classic, Esprit, Elegance and Sport.

Hi there Ian and welcome to the forum. As Shude say is just badge

Welcome Ian, 1994 was a good year for your model, should be nice & solid with no serious rust, am i right ? Where are you from Ian ?

Seems to be pretty sound all round. Just a couple of issues to tie up before I can put it through it's MoT and potter around in it.

Well someone has taken great care to mount the badges! Other than that I think it's an absolute entry model thanks to putting the VIN into another link I found elsewhere on the forum to check out the options.

does it have the red and black cloth interior????
