Yesterday my car showed a park brake warning light and a key fob battery warning message. Today loads of other fault messages showed (ABS fault, bonnet fault, lighting fault etc) up and the car wouldn't start. I tried to jump start it but that didn't work so i disconnected the battery then reconnected it and the car started fine. Switched it off and it wouldn't restart and the faults came back up. The message was still showing on the dash about the Parking Brake. I've put the battery on charge this eve with the hope that might help, but I'm not hopeful. Any advice will be welcomed

See how long the battery holds the charge after a good 24hr on the charger.
I would expect it will fail again as soon as the forecasted cold weather arrives.
Possibly time for a new battery if this one is over 5 years old.

Time will tell, if it starts in the morning I'll be putting a new battery on it.

Battery was on charge overnight, connected up this morning and the car started. However after locking leaving it for approx 5 mins I returned to the car and when trying to restart it I had the same original symptoms. I disconnected and reconnected the battery and it started again, until I locked it and it powered down then it wouldn’t start until I disconnected and reconnected the battery. I’m at a total loss :-(

The garage has identified that it's an issue with the ABS module, time to start saving the pennies. They're not cheap.
