My SRS light has now gone out of its own accord. I will assume for the time being that it has "fixed itself." I'll let everyone know if it has a hissy fit, deploys the airbags and the seatbelts clamp us all to our seats whilst parking at Tescos...

Bulb has gone -
Either the aibags will fail to deploy during a 25G deceleration or as you say caterpult you out through the roof if you touch the curb .

Intend to make a nuisance of myself tomorrow to MB - they aren't far away , maybe I'll go up there and start take bits off it outside the front of their offices .

Oh dear - had you consider semtex ? it will certainly fix the problem .

MB have been bleating at the answerphone today , telling me to take the car in for a photoshoot of the rust -
I promise them that they would be better to put a dab of paint on it and repair my windbag free of charge .
