hi

on my 1999 (pre-facelift) CLK convertable I have a "-", "+", "0" buttons on the left hand side of the dial binnacle. On the right is "H", "M", "R". I assume the ones on the right are for the clock. What is the "R" for tho?

what are the ones on the left for? I know "0" resets the trip. What does the "+" and "-" do?

thanks

derek

Are they the dimmer for the dashboard lights?

Marc

R resets any error messages, such as blown bulb etc.

so will my CLK (pre facelift) report blown bulbs?

what error messages does it detect? i noticed service due in 4000 miles and also washer fluid low when i purchased the car... both dont appear anymore

yes it tells you about blown bulbs, brake pads, washer fluid, you have left your lights on etc etc....
To get how many miles to next service you press one of the buttons twice. Damn forgot which button, i will do it later and let you know...

Pressing the "0" twice, quickly on my car gives the remaining mileage until service due.

I'm sure its the same on similar clusters.
