What is the correct name for this colour?

Not an MB colour, but I would say more like a gun metal grey.

But if you decide to buy it I could make you a nice pair of sills for this in any colour you like :) Sorry for the hard sell but I need to find good homes for a couple CLK sets. They would make this look stunning though.

Thanks guys, its the Indigolite blue, help appreciated :) Thats my colour of preference.

Not buying it yet dicky, have to get rid of the company car first, negations ongoing with the boss at the moment.

Could it be Iolite blue? The only reason I ask is because it looks remarkably like the colour of our iolite blue CLK.

Seems reasonable - I thought Indigolite blue was a new W212 colour and is very light, even lighter than Tealite? :dk:

Mine is teallite blue, this one looks more grey than mine. Colour code is on plate under the bonnet, certain the handbook shows you where.

Ah Tealite - how I loved that colour on my previous :thumb:.

Damn, now you're confusing me, going to send a question and ask what the paperwork says :)

Id guess tenorite but can check for sure in the morning

Did you check others on the Approved Used link?

Yes, I'm sure its not the Tenorite Grey, thats too dark. The Tansanite Blue is a much stronger/brighter blue.

I've found a 2004 on the used/approved that is Indigolite Blue, it looks to be the correct colour to me MERCEDES-BENZ CLK270 CDI Displayed by MotorTRAK

Still looking for an Iolite model at the moment to compare.

Found one here http://www.compucars.co.uk/used-cars/mercedes/clk-class/clk240/for-sale/?1660736 to be honest the two look very similar to me, I'd be happy with either of those. I think it looks very classy and I want to stay away from Silver.

Thanks for the replies all, much appreciated.

I think GP801 is correct its IOLITE BLUE not INDIGOLITE BLUE I think the link to the car I described has been wrongly named by Mercedes. should have double checked.:o

Actually, looking at the two cars I found, I'm now wondering if Iolite is an abreviation for IndigOlite? From the pictures at least, I can't see the difference, maybe its more obviious when looking at the actual car.

Iolite is much darker than indigolite, Iolite is much more a grey with a hint of blue. To describe iolite as blue is stretching credulity a bit. Indigolite is a newish colour and I dont think was ever available on the CLK

Unless they've reissued the name from an earlier colour, this is Indigolite - it's much lighter.

indigolite blue - Google Search
