As title... I need a new bumper for my 2012 w212 250 sport and looking online some have this box others don't.
Are all pre face lift model bumpers the same? Mine has and is pictured with the blue circle
Thanks for any help

The blind spot assist is in the bumper? I do have blind spot assist and distronic plus but thought that only uses the grill mount.

Are all the bumpers interchangeable? Can I take my little box out whatever it is and put in another bumper?

I would assume that if you can get one out, then you can fit it elsewhere!

You are right it's the blind spot sensor managed to pry it out an there's a part no on the other side... how does that see your blind spots?!

Anyway do I need a specific bumper or can I attatch it to a new one?

It's a radar unit, probably works for emergency braking, blind spot and all other safety systems fitted.

Cool thanks is there only supposed to be one? Or one on the other side too? Lost the other half of the bumper on the motorway
Not sure about the front, but I think the rear has two (one each side). Probably depends on how many options the car was fitted with.

If you enter your VIN on partsouq.com and look at the bumper diagrams, you might get lucky and it might show you exactly which components you have.

If you use your VIN, what you see should be exactly what's fitted to your car. I'm just concious that sometimes with multiple parts of the same number on one diagram, they don't always seem to show them all. If they are different part number i.e. left and right specific, then it will show them 100% of the time.

legend, will check this!

If I need another one do you know if they are plug and play, is it just the part number that has to match (a000 905 00 10) or does one of the other umpteen numbers on it have to aswell?

The other numbers probably (amongst other things) denote a coded date of manufacture and the coding for the type of plastic material used. The part number is the important thing.
