What is this? Please. 🤔

Does anyone know what this is, please? The little box with the electrical connection is bolted to the black bracket which in turn is bolted to the top of the strut. I've tried looking up the part number but just can't find it. My car is a 2011 C207 Mercedes E class coupe 35cdi 265bhp. Thanks.

Since I posted this, I've been told it's an Airbag Sensor, but thanks for reading this.

It's listed in the ECP as a sender unit.
