So planning some work in up and coming week`s , so was looking at changing drive belt and pully`s so this ,

So question what`s is it and what`s its purpose ??? ( and Yes under bonnet needs a booming good clean weather doesnt help lol )

Looking at it some sort of pipe conector but odd shape is it a baffle of some sort ??

It’s called a resonator box, it quietens the air from the turbo to the intercooler. It’s literally just a hollow plastic box designed to reduce noise.

I don't know anybody that's removed it - you'd have to fashion some kind of pipe to go from the metal pipe coming off the turbo to the silicone S-shaped pipe that goes into the intercooler. Probably best to just leave it alone...
