Hey all.. I have 19” reps on my CLS and the front ones have dodgy fittings with no dust cover. They are cheap and large so really susceptible to cracks.. I’m just wondering what everyone else goes for.

I’m currently set on getting 17” which are the smallest available. I’m confused why 15/16” aren’t an option?

Probs wont go over the brakes

The ideal wheel size will vary by model, however poor quality replicas will be bad news for all sorts of reasons. A genuine set of wheels in the right fitment, and a set of premium tyres in the right size, would be a good move.

As suggested, the size of your brakes will limit the smallest wheel size you can fit without catching.

I did have some aftermarket 19" alloys on my car when i purchased it, now i have a set of refurbed stock 18" wheels, so much better for the handling and the noise floor....

My SL came with 19” split rims of which two now have cracks due to potholes 😫

I’ve now got 18” MB wheels fitted and the ride is way nicer. Not as good looking though 😉

These 18” bad boys…
Timeless classics…
