I have a genuine AMG spoiler, purchased brand new from a main dealer parts counter, which came pre-painted, in the box, with a VAT receipt, and I paid less for it. In fact I got one for another member (A-Avantgarde) too. IIRC RRP is about £400!!

If you'd quite literally posted a couple of minutes earlier I could have asked the same parts guy if he could get another, as I set off to the dealer as you posted. If I remember I'll email him to see if he has any more.

If I would you I'd phone around as many dealers as you can find as this sort of part often lies on their shelves after having been ordered by mistake, and then they're stuck with them. After 12 months discount potential is huge!!

Sorry folks, just had a call from my contact, and it seems he can't lay his hands on another old stock spoiler.

He's checked the darkest and dustiest corners of group stock but to no avail, so the only way he could get one is a fresh order at £394 each (they come painted).

Your best bet for a cheap original now is to phone around a dealer from different dealer groups, to see if they have one in their group stock that they're keen to clear.
