What's it worth ??

'96 Facelift SL500 in Azurite with Mushroom interior. Refurbed original 8 hole alloys. Unmolested in any way.
82,500 miles Full history and all bills from day one including original invoice.
15 services, 12 main dealer, 3 specialist.
Good over all condition NOT concours but mechanically perfect and cosmetically good. No rust, no rips or tears but 2-3 dings in the body.
New soft top July 2011.
All MOT's from registering in UK 2002.(Jersey originally)

Looking to buy a 230 but need a clue as to current trade in value. My thoughts were around the £5500 mark.

Any views ??

That sounds about right. I had agreed on £6500 on a 1999 with AMG wheels, one owner etc and about those miles but the sale fell through.

I'm a bit of an impatient bloke. Saw the 230 SL500 and didn't want to miss it so went for it.
In all fairness I think I did the right thing as the difference is amazing, although I have only had it 4 hours and driven 40 miles.
When I walked away I'm sure the old girl gave me a little whimper or perhaps that was me !!
If anyone wants to know where it's gone pm me and I'll let you know. Only got £4k.
