Someone squirted tomato ketchup on my mums car and others in her street once, it did exactly the same thing.

Judging by the scratches I'd say it's been parked up somewhere where a cat or similar animal has been able to jump up regularly and damaged the clear coat allowing water to get underneath and lift it.

Phew, and I said all that without taking a breath!

I owned a Range Rover and the paint on the bonnet went the same way. We eventually put it down to a local cat that curled up on the nice warm bonnet when I got home every day...had a stretch and a scratch and wrecked the paintwork.
