Stainless wheel bolts are not a great idea.....its the stretch in the bolts and threads that keep bolts tight.....stainless is much harder and only stretches a fraction of the amount. So torques need to be increased to the extent that you get this stretch....but not to the degree that the hard threads on the bolts damage the softer threads in the hub.
When I was into race bikes (and I raced a GSXR1100 back in the day) the rule was not to use stainless (or titanium) fixings on any safety related items....due to fear of loosening. Also stainless threads need lube to stop them galling....another thing you should not do in wheel bolts.

This is quite an interesting thread on the subject...

You can get non-rusting wheel bolts from alloywheelsdirect.net or Ebay. I have Ebay ones on my SLK, and unlike MB wheel bholts they have not rusted.

Since I have black AMG wheels I painted the rusty bolts black to match......after treating the rust with the wire wheel of course.....looked great.....and lasted until the first time I touched them with a socket!!. Was worth a go though!!

Yep, passivated bolts are the way to go; the RUD brand which alloywheelsdirect sell are good, but there're others.

eBay , but do your homework and do ask the seller questions. 👍👍 make certain they're for steel wheels and not alloy wheels.

If you need 20 look for a set of 20 .
