Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well! 😊

I have a set of wheels that need refurbishment, paint and straightening, and I’ve been looking around for options. I found a company, Mario's Wheel Repair. They quoted £340 to straighten and paint all four wheels, or £390 for a diamond-cut finish.

I'm trying to see if these prices are reasonable. It's tough since many companies don't list their prices online. Does anyone know a good, cheap place for wheel straightening and similar services? Or maybe you’ve had a great experience with Mario’s or another company?

I’d really appreciate your recommendations—thanks in advance!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum,!

That sounds like a good price, is that paint or powder coating and presumably it is plus VAT.

Wheel straightening near me is around £40 per wheel and powder coating around £75 a wheel.

Sounds cheap for anywhere within the M25, let alone London.

I'd want to check the cut of their jib and take up some references.

It's an age since I used Lepsons to refinish a set of wheels, and they were more expensive back then.

Where is that please DSM?. Other half had 2 buckled wheels and one of those buckles was cracked = £184 at ProAlloy in Melksham. Thought it was steep but on the day..........

I'd be surprised if I was quoted for diamond cut anything less than £125 per wheel, in London.

If their reviews are good, then go for it.

BTW I used these people before:

And was happy with the result - but they're not cheaper than others.

It's not necessarily steep, it really depends on what repairs the wheel needed.

BJV Engineering in Flaunden are pretty good, and not expensive, but unless you're in Norf Lunnon it would be a bit of a trek, and the works is a b'stard to find...
