Does anyone fairly close to central wiltshire happen to have a set of wheels that would fit my e55 whilst mine go off to be refurbed? 18", correct hole pattern and with tyres that will hold air is about all I need, maybe not even 18s. It won't go anywhere other than maybe a few metres around the drive.
Beer tokens on offer and I'm happy to collect and return.
Thanks

Our wheel refurb. guy puts the car on stands 2 at a time over the course of a couple of days to do all 4 wheels.

That's a big ask of anyone. I had my wheels done recently. Just put it up on 4 axle stands for a few days and that's it. I had mine on the stands for more than a week as I did some other work at the same time, but no way should your wheels be away for more than 3 days. or find a refurb place that has a courtesy car.

Good luck with your quest to find wheels and tyres to loan. By the way there is a full set of E55 wheels with tyres for sale on this very forum. Buy them, use them and sell them on if that's an option.

I have some 17 inch wheels but simply to far from you to be any help. I hope someone closeby can help.

Where are said E55 wheels?

Interesting replies. A big ask to borrow a set of spare wheels just sitting in a pile in a garage? We must have rather differing ideas about people's willingness to help each other out.
I've seen a couple of sets of the correct et wheels but they don't save me any work so I'll keep looking.
I have a selection of axle stands so that remains an option but I'd prefer it on the ground. Wheels will be gone 4 or 5 days apparently.

To be fair, not many people will have a spare set of wheels and tyres, especially in a very specific area, and it has only been 24 hours since you asked. Someone may be able help but hasn't seen your thread just yet. Give it a little time, you never know.

If after a while you're all out of options then, as I said in an earlier post, I do have some 17 inch wheels for a C32 AMG which may fit but I'm North of Birmingham, and unfortunately I'm not able to move them around myself. Two tyres would not be legal to use on the road but could be used to move the car around on your your drive.

Hopefully someone closer to you who can help will be along soon.

The only spare rims I've got have winter tyres on them; as above they are 17" rims (possibly off a W204, they're not a fit for a CLK without spacers). - Stoke may make me even further north of Birmingham; half way to Manchester is reasonably accurate.

Unfortunately wheels can be quite a high value item, so people can be reluctant to lend them to someone else lest they get damaged.

Thanks for the offers. I realise it hasn't been long but there wasn't any real hurry, just answering the queries. I wasn't anticipating anyone's newly refurbed borani wires, quite the opposite, the ratty steelies someone has acquired for whatever reason. One of those if you don't ask sort of enquiries. In the event I couldn't return them in the condition I borrowed then that would be down to me to remedy.
Anyway I shall see what, if anything, comes up. Most likely nothing but you never know.
As I said I appreciate the offers but yes probably too far to justify it.

If pre booked and arranged properly a full tyre off wheel refurbish should be possible in one working day with a courtesy car.

try Neal at ProAlloys in Melksham Wiltshire.

Have you considered just using Lepsons in Gillingham? It's quick and easy to leave a car there and take a train back to London.

They're very good and from where you are it would be easy to drop them over there.

got a set in Essex if any good?

The OP is in Wiltshire. So are ProAlloys. Seems a no-brainer to me. By the way, anyone seen the OP recently ?
