When I go to the parts counter at MB...

So I went to the MB dealer the other day to order some parts for the car and whilst they were off looking up P/Ns from my sketchy descriptions I had a browse of the MB Collection 2015 catalogue.

Flicking through the pages, I couldn't help but be amused by one item... It will also go superbly with my Harris tweed jacket and waistcoat.







I'm pretty sure I may surprise some of those young whippersnappers that looks can be deceiving at the drag strip next year. :D

I'll find out when I go back Thursday to get the other half of my order which in yet.
 
Would go perfectly with the cloth seats in an 80's 300ce

...as I did this morning. I see the same old 'Collection' poster on the wall with some dude posing with an M-B tie, cufflinks, watch, sunglasses, pen, folder, keyring etc, etc. And then just to top it all off I'm 'attended' to by a totally disinterested member of staff to be told with almost delight they don't stock any of the parts I want and they'll need to be ordered. I bet they stock the personal accessories in their Collection range.

Sorry, minor rant over.
 
You really need a Moley the Mole Mask to go with that and maybe some Biggles Goggles to complete the outfit. I like it, with or without the MB Star.
 
It's made out of 100% polyester FFS.

Ignorant ***** can't even make a tweed cap properly.
 
It's pathetic, these Isles make the most stunning selection of tweeds, a natural, environmentally friendly crafted material of exquisite beauty, warmth and waterproof-ness, and they copy the herringbone in polyester and can't even sew a badge on straight.

Contemptible.
 
FWIW, I would love to be able to still go to the parts counter at my local MB ... they removed it about a year ago, when the dealership got a makeover, so no more chatting with parts guys and looking at displays - all you get is a main reception and "someone will be down shortly" ... :dk:

45 yes!! 45 minutes later. I left. Never did get seen. Shocking.
