Where are all the W140s gone?

I'm having trouble finding a facelift W140 S320 or S500.
Needs to be a LWB model and have under 130k on the clock.

Looking for a 1997 or a 1998 car I would guess.
There is a T plate S320L on eBay at the moment but I suspect it will go for silly money since it's the only one for sale at the moment.

So, does anyone know where they have all gone?

In the German mercedes classic mag they said Russia has been buying them in droves, and they are becoming scarce in Germany too.

Damm you should have posted before as there was a Business Edition S500 W140 in Black on Traderlink a few weeks back.

That's fairly typical. I've put an advert on autotrade-mail with absolutely zero success, I thought someone somewhere would have one in chop and not know what to do with it.

Once will come up eventually I should. As someone else said there is an article in the German Autobild Klassic magazine on the W140, I haven't read it yet but I will do tonight I think. I miss my old one....

That one is a nice one, but it's a prefacelift and I understand they have problems with the wiring perishing?

Besides that one is chavtacular.

This weekend saw a foreign plate w140 M20 coastbound pulling another w140 on a trailer being followed by another w140, two were def 500.
W140 coupe in the back of this months car mech mag.
