Where is it all at!!

Where is the best, 'one stop shop' if you like, that records where Mercedes car owners are likely to find a good display of Merc classics at Merc rally's/get togethers.
I would like to know where I can visit, during the spring/summer months, where I would have a chance to see SL's that have been worked on and customised but I haven't a clue where to look for a list of such events.

Official MB Owners club. Lots of various events, often with plenty of old timers. Not sure about modified/ customised though.

When you say customised do you mean paint jobs or tuning. If it's the latter then a Vmax event or a Terminal Velocity event may have something. MSL would be the guys to talk to about tweaks of this nature

I'm wanting to see the kind of stuff owners do to their cars. I have an SL and I know many owners will have body kits fitted......I just want to be able to visit a show where there might be some on display.
I seem to recall that there was an SL event around Coventry way last year...can't remember wher I saw the details. If anyone can point me in the direction that would be great.

As already said, the official owners club has lots of events around the country, although nothing that caters specifically for customised cars. The right hand column in the events section is scrollable, but incomplete.

Bit late to this but if you join the official club you get the Gazette magazine which lists events which will be attended by Mb owners. For example the June edition lists 115 events happening between now and the end of the year.
