Where is it?

Anyone know where the MAF Sensor Probe on my ML 270 CDI actually sits? , Have experienced a loss of power recently and having read through some of the advice on the threads, think it may be time to have it checked out. Slow build up, lack of accelleration when overtaking , top speed of about 80mph at present, does not kick down when flooring the pedal but builds up speed? eventually........anybody any other ideas?
