Which 22" tyres for my S63 coupe?

Oh, my! I have elastic bands thicker than those tyres!!
Apart from looks (which is very subjective) there can be absolutely no advantage and many disadvantages to tyres that low..
Beautiful car though, those seats look fabulous ...

Well 22" wheels now been fitted, so far so good. It has made absolutely zero difference on comfort, from the inside you wouldn't even notice the profile of the tyre. Of course the worry about hitting potholes is higher though but thankfully not too bad around my way. Also fitted lowering links to drop her down a bit (will be bringing the back up a little though from the pics). I have also removed the centre boxes so I can hear the engine sing a bit better! I had blacked out all of the chrome around the windows and added black badges but didn't really like it so went back to the chrome!

Few pics of her....

Looks amazing , nice car!

Love the look of those wheels - hate the thought of cleaning them.

Indeed zero advantages part from the looks which I really like, many disadvantages as you mention, comfort was my main concern so glad it has had no effect on ride quality. Missus does not drive it so no worry on any curbing!

Tell me about it! I'm going to ceramic coat them (which I didn't even know you could do on wheels) to help keep the grime off!

Nah the black looks very dark I feel on these given most of the inside is covered in leather. I specifically wanted this one but with the black steering wheel! (why they did them with beige steering wheels is beyond me!)

Excuse we I just messed myself..... [emoji1786][emoji1786][emoji1786][emoji1786][emoji1786][emoji1786][emoji1786][emoji1786]

They look great and suit the car really well.

I do love Vossen wheels - they are in a league of their own.

Stunning car and love the cream interior..... but omg those tyres are soooo low. Must feel like your ass is dragging along the ground lol

Looks stunning, great choice of alloys.
Did you go 295/25 and 245/30?

Vossen in the US actually recommended a slightly narrower 285/25 profile for the rear so went on their recommendation, having lined them up against the old tyres there was nothing in it really, plus gives me an excuse to put some spacers on the rear! Fronts indeed 245/30....

Do you mind me asking what wheels you've had before?

Looks superb. Was about to say have you considered some spacers? Little bit more width would look spot on. Must be a comfortable beast to drive!

Do you mean what wheels were on the car prior? If so the original 20" amg wheels. If you mean what i've had in the past, it would be safer to ask what haven't I had! From BBS split rims to Oz lightweights on various track cars going all they way back to Antera 5 spokes, original first set of Kahns and even Azev A's, oh and TSW Stealths going even further back in the day!

Yes I think for the back I will go for them, the front seems to sit ok I think. Maybe 15mm or 20mm on the rear, going to scour through MBWorld this week to see what people have done across the pond. Indeed she is very comfy although haven't really used her much recently. I've recently taken delivery of a new V90 R Design which is great for the kids etc (no need to take their shoes off when sitting in the back!!)

Was only interested in the 20's that you had on the S-Class before the upgrade. With the purpose of making an offer. If they were for sale. But as of this morning I've got a wheel set coming so it's all good. Enjoy the new look ;-)

Agree. Funnily enough I’m going to add spacers just to the rear on my c63. Seems a bit weird adding just to the rear as normally add all round but I do feel the fronts tend to sit ok, and not keen on pokeyness on the front.

Ah ok no worries, I was going to keep these to put back on when I decide to sell the car. Congrats on your purchase, get some pics up when they are on!
