Which car to do anything and everything?

You’d have to acknowledge that this is not typical of the ownership experience of the marque? :)
I know 3 other people who have had Range Rovers from new and only one has had problems, two were leased and kept for 3 years . The other has had a Sat Nav fixed under warranty and a failed air suspension pump at 6 years old, another friend has had 2 Discoveries, again both with minimal issues (leaking sunroof and a failed water pump) and is now happily running a Range Rover Sport so, based on my experiences no. 👍

Strange isn’t it? Big reliability issues reported that totally contradict your ownership experience.

We’re exactly the same with Fords. They are constantly the source of ridicule yet we’ve had many over the years with zero issues. 🤷‍♂️

I had two Mondeo saloons.

Had each for 3 years from new and just routine servicing required 👍

I’m sure that Siri conspires against me and changes text after I hit [Post reply]. This last should have read:

Come on you two, you know that’s only mostly true 👀

😁
It's ok bud, we knew exactly what you meant 😉 👀

Bad news tends to be good news for some. Especially anything involving the press. 🤔

One or two privately owned Rangies that were ok don't out weigh RRs constant positions at or near the bottoms of most reliability serveys.

@bobby I concur with everything you said! I’ve had my 2010 Ml63 for 6 years, currently on 131,000 miles. I had the same dilemma, needed an estate, wanted a sports car, thought about running two cars and then this one popped up on Autotrader and that was it. Brilliant car:) … ps thanks for your advice when I’ve struck issues or needed some pointers, really helpful, cheers

Recently had the wheels and brake callipers refurbished by Three Sixty alloys in Reading who did a lovely job, as you can see they were getting pretty ropey … new diamond cut and went for black with callipers sprayed black to matchE0073B07-5D0A-4335-A5E5-9C3A8E88D9DC.jpeg68C310E0-3000-45E3-8D10-9E76DF11DB5B.jpeg9E8029CD-F56D-43A2-BB5D-052D068B758C.jpeg :) however C2DE31FC-0E10-4A85-8529-3DC26BCD8A03.jpeg961B3637-C9D8-4EEB-948E-9E1352A7C5D3.jpeg

Looks good. I need to refurbish the calipers but the surface must be a nightmare for painting! Do you have a long close up photos you could share please?

Hi Bobby, sorry those are all the photos I have right now but I’ll get out in the drive over the weekend and see if I can do some decent closeups. FYI Three Sixty Alloys did the main body of the calliper in gloss black with the AMG embossed plate in satin matt black so that it stood out a bit on the calliper, not that you can really see it much behind the wheels. I could have had any colour on both the wheels and callipers, red callipers was a consideration but I decided black as wanted understated. Also I got the centre caps and valve caps off eBay to finish them off. Cheers

I like the idea of black. I’m considering silver for the same reason, it’s low key. The standard finish is really weird and looks below par now it has aged - a traditional caliper is so much better in this regard. Photos when you can would be appreciated, thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
