Which OBD protocol?

It's said that a man with one watch always knows the time, a man with two watches is never sure.
And that's largely the problem I have here. :)

I have three fault code readers.

ELM327 unit connected via Bluetooth to my Android phone, running Torque2.
This shows fault codes, P2135 and P2136, throttle position voltage mismatch.

A new-ish code reader from Aldi says there are no fault codes.

A Sykes-Pickavant ACR4 with OBD2 pod, expensive unit with selectable protocols.
Depending which protocol I select depends on whether I see the same fault codes or not.

So, what protocol does my car use?

From what I've read, it seems that on detection of this fault, the car should go into limp mode or show hesitancy or unexpected engine revving.
It isn't doing that. Nor is it showing any warning lights.

2009 B 200 CDI Sport manual.

I would say a man with 3 watches should just get one good one!

For a 2009 I expect ISO15765-4 protocol.

I guess in some cases the tool is reading DTCs using service $3. The tools that are showing a fault could be using the service $18 with the mask 8F which will show historic faults too.

Thank you!

iCarsoft is on its way.
