HELP  just swapping speakers in my Mk1 1997 auto.

Have two red wires going to speaker, one with a grey stripe and one with a green stripe.

Which one is the pos ??????? They both have the same size spade connectors???

Positive from the head unit should run to positive on the speaker.

"Positive" on a speaker is just a convention: a positive voltage applied to the "positive" terminal on a speaker (with reference to the "negative" terminal) makes the speaker cone move outwards.

Provided all speakers are wired up the same way (consistent relative phase), absolute phase doesn't matter. It's very debatable whether absolute phase reversal (i.e. wiring everything up "wrong") is audible in controlled conditions: it certainly wouldn't be audible in a car.
