I get a whistle during acceleration and slightly while revving in neutral.
I dont think it is the exhaust. It is coming from the front right of the engine bay.
Any thoughts are most appreciated.

Don't tell anyone that is snow mate.

The reason I was asking the question re the whistling noise is because my wife also has a e220 cdi (same 2001)and it does not produce a whistle.Could the turbo be begining to fail.My car is still under MB warranty.
Thanks

As it is still under warranty then let the Dealer have a listen and tell you if it is going. They are a little prone on earlier models.

Thanks for the help.
