I am today in the process of finalizing the options for my brother's CLE53 AMG Cabriolet. Production is due to start August.
For the life of me, I have no idea why no Silver paint is offered. Can someone shed some light on this?

Mercedes AMG, no Silver paint???? Am I missing something here?

Maybe no one was buying silver cars anymore , regardless of the Merc traditional colour being Brilliant Silver.

I honestly cant remember the last time i noticed a new silver vehicle . loads of greys around but not silver.

No demand then no point offering it as an option , possibly available as a pint to sample all be it at a price.

Is this a worldwide thing? Or limited to certain regions/markets (in this case, Bahrain)?

If the latter, then the answer might be that there's little demand for certain colours in these markets?

UK website shows the same - no silver on the CLE53 :dk:

Looks like the AMG model does not get silver at the moment. I'm even more confused.

I guess it's marketing reasons as they try to plan ahead for the next model update. So, I can see the silver coming as a possible, so-called 'special edition'?

Ironically, there is only one special edition available for the CLE53 in the configurator, and it's only available in blue.

Silver is boring anyway....yes mine is silver, but it's a used car and I wanted a light interior so choices were limited. But I would not buy it on a new car. Nearly every Merc I see is silver.....be different! The best thing about silver is that is does not show the dirt....against that is that it will never show a shine like a red or blue car can.

Most AMGs nowadays are always coloured somewhere on the greyscale. They should be bright, vibrant and loud :D
If you think the MB palette is boring, take a quick look at the Cupra website... 50 shades of 😴😴😴😴

Yeah, a lot of manufacturers are steering away from colourful cars.

I have a theory, as silly as it may seem.

I think AMG is continuing to separate itself from Mercedes by having certain models offered only in AMG and now even common Mercedes colors not being offered.

Anyways, I went with Solid Black with Macchiato Beige interior.

Probably.
I know hyacinth Red is really rare on my GLE53, but it’s definitely what sold me on the car. They don’t offer that on the new GLE AMGs. I think you can opt for a very dark blue.

I can now see why some people choose to wrap their car. I think it’s good to see some colour on the roads.

I don’t find myself thinking “nice colour, that” as often these days :(

Quite the opposite..I quite often find myself thinking "who the hell chose that when it was new?"
