WiFi help please

I’ve just completed a new build detracted garage/workshop/office for a customer.

Whilst running the armoured cable from the house I also ran a cat5 data cable in ducting making sure to keep them both well away from each other. The new build requires good WiFi.

The cat5 has been run into the loft (it’s a bungalow).

The router for the property is in the hallway in the centre of the house. The customer has JUST had the hallway refurbished and for this reason does not want the data cable taken back to the router.

There is great WiFi signal in the loft. And a plug socket.

Can anyone tell me what we need to wirelessly pick up WiFi in the loft (receiver?) and another device to go in the new building to throw out the WiFi from the house?

I've used TPlink successfully in the past to extend WiFi range.

In my experience Devolo, and similar powerline adapters do not produce a decent end result despite their claims to the contrary.

I should have added to the above post that my choice would be from the ubiquiti nbe range:-

Happy with my Devolo Magic One.
It gives me a decent WiFi signal in the mancave despite it being a fair distance from the house. Normal repeaters are no good in my case as it has a steel roof which is a pretty effective Faraday Cage.
Got mine from Box - they usually have a pretty good discount on their website.

You’ll just need to buy a standard access point for the new building. So use the repeater at the loft end to send the signal to the outbuilding via Ethernet, and then an access point at the new building end to act as a wireless connection point for devices.

What’s the total budget? I can then help find a suitable setup.

I assume there’s no way to relocate the router to another part of the house? How does the supplier cable enter the property? Can it not be rerun around the external wall to a more suitable area?

The new build is 1 mahoooosive L shaped room. Garage to front, workshop behind garage and office to one side. Only the office is plastered (ceiling and walls).

Access point can be sited anywhere at all. Loft space, ceiling mounted or anywhere on within the Un plastered areas.

Not a cheap setup, but these are both pretty top end of the spectrum. What do you reckon?

Can definitely find a cheaper pair but from what you’ve said above I reckon this client very much wants quality over small cost savings?

Advantage with Amazon is that you can return easily if for some reason the two don’t work as expected!

Can I ask, what is the setup/interface process for these bits of kit?
Cable or WiFi connection to Netgear nighthawk next to the router, and then the Ubiquiti access point connects to the Nighthawk? Can you use multiple access points?
