Will I fit 8holes on my e190 with this spec lowered 40mm??

Mercedes E and SL Class

Tyres – 225 / 55 / 16 ZR

Yes but for a standard car. With a 40mm drop you may get rubbing on the arches so will need lower profile tyres or your arches rolled.

oh yes i didnt think about that. so will it rub badly?? where would it rub, on the inner arch skins or on the outside arch??

tbh, that's the sort of question that would get a more knowledgeable answer on the 190 forum.
Lots of their cars on there have 16 x 8 alloys so they would be the guys to ask.

Yeah I posted it on there aswell cheers mate they've said I'll need to fit 225/50 16s so i'll get a price for tyres first

You should check the reply on the 190 site. You need 225/45/16 and not 50 as you mentioned.

Yep, that's what I have and fits fine. 50 profile will put the speedo out

I just searched on google and went with a local place with reasonable prices. Firstly, I got a couple of Infinity branded tyres (through Camskil or Blackcircles) with little knowledge of them. I liked them and so next time I needed two more I got Infinity again. Can't remember what I paid, £60 ish per tyre maybe? This was all more than a year ago (still using them though).
