Hi all,

I have been trying to refit my doorcard on my passenger side, and it turns out that the window guide rail is either faulty / deformed. I have tried and tried to get it to accept the doorcard in the lip - but it simply will not take it, one side of the doorcard is always out of alignment.

The guide rail appears to have been changed in the past, (or at least attempted to) - and I know there is a newer part number which may address fitment issues A2057206120

I have the new part, but when looking at removing the old one, there is a strip that goes down inside the door and appears to be fixed or pushed onto a part inside the door. This means I'm not sure how it could even be replaced without dismantling the entire door, basically removing the sheet metal inside as far as I can tell!! I have marked the bit in question in red...

Any advise would be hugely appreciated - there is very little info on replacing this part, even WIS doesn't cover this part being swapped, as far as I can tell!

My next step if I can't swap it is to look at taking it to a specialist, but I'm not sure how many will have done this particular job as it's quite niche....

Thanks

Have you removed the glass?
Once that's done, the seal will fit into the the track at the front of the door. The glass will then hold it in place.

I got further and have found access is possible under the cover near the window motor.

I think given this involves glass out I’m going to see a specialist to take it on - I don’t want to risk mishandling the glass.

Thought it would be fairly straightforward but unfortunately not….

Thanks for the reply, think this is one for the professionals.
