Hi all,

I can get the windows to go down and the drivers cooled seat to turn on remotly from the key, but I don't appear to be able to close the windows remotly from the key. Is this something I would have to get a dealer or specialist to programme, or is this just not possible at all?

When you lock the car with the windows down, if you keep holding the close buuton on the fob this should close the windows. May take a secongd or two to activate but keep holding the button down

Hi,
The remote closure feature only works in close proximity to the vehicle as well. So don,t expect it to have the same range as the the remote locking.
As in the previous reply, when you lock the car keep the locking button pressed with the key in close proximity to the door lock/handle.

I am lead to believe that this "summer opening" feature is controlled by infa-red so can/is very temperamental :thumb:

Yeah you have to point it at the door handle, as previously stated it doesn't work like the central locking from range

Correct. You should have a little IR window in the drivers door handle, it only works if you point it at that, should work over a few metres though, mine does..

Thanks for the replies :)

That's a bit pants, my BMW used to do it from as far as the key would work from the car, and regardless of what direction it was pointed.

That's so you don't have to stand looking at an ugly Beemer any longer than necessary

Yes, you could do it while walking away from the BMW...a little dangerous for kids left in the car though.
