Hi, Just about to start fitting a new overhead consul in the Vito with map lights etc so I can then fit auto lights and wipers.
I have the parts here and the harness has the fuse and some plugs to go in the front sam unit, thats all good, the other end again seems fine and plugs into the consul.
There is however one random red wire, looks 15 amp wire with a large spade terminal on the end uncovered, this must plug in something, it's the same end of the harness as the fuse but much longer.

Any help please.

I am thinking power for a sunroof in the same harness but what is that spade end?

I think it must go to another fuse box, the one under the seat.

Definiteley looks like it goes in the fusebox as its not a normal spade end, i reckon the fusebox has a main busbar going between all the fuse ports and the the outgoing sides wire ends have a spade connector like the one in your picture and just click in to the space. The v shaped bit in the spade i assume will be the part that makes contact with the fuse itself .

Basically like a domestic fusebox

Is the wire long enough to reach the fusebox then ??

Nick

Yes Nick it must be 1.5M long past the red fuse so I think it must come back and under the front mat to the fuse box under the seat.
I will have a look, and like you say it must clip in to the housing.
