As one of the newer sponsors here I would like to get a feel for those of you that would/have/are thinking about modding or tuning your AMG...

We are all about Tuning and Customisation and would love to know what sort of products, services people would want or consider. Or more importantly for us to offer.

We personally have a new c63 coupe that we will be developing and tuning as we go.....right upto supercharged level.

Just give us an idea of :

Model

Year

Mods done

Mods Considering

Remember it could be as simple as Carbon fibre parts, vinyl wrap, wheels, remap........or full on supercharger

I know alot of the 55 guys are already modding mad but also interested in 63 crowd

Vaguely thought about it, but:

1) don't want to lose my warranty

2) 95% of the time I'm in London traffic, 50bhp or 500bhp all goes the same speed!

Hi,
Not a 63 but,
I have a 98 C43 Mods and retro fits to date,
2000 CLK55 AMG Engine fitted,
Decatt and resonator delete,
Log type performance exhaust manifolds fitted,
K&N Air Filters,
18" AMG Monoblocks (from 210 E55),
Soon to have Eurocharged Dyno and Remapp.
and lots of OEM retro fits carried out (listed in signature).

I would love to mod my car and give it some extra BHP, but I can't seem to get any reasonable quotes. As soon as I get the price down I will defiantly start to mod.

What sort of things have you looked at Starky?

09 ML63. No performance mods, but added DAB, TV, Factory Rear Entertainment System - keep on meaning to finish the Rear Heated Seats but waiting for a loom.

04 SL55. Again. no Performance mods, but replaced COMAND 2.0 with the MY2009 NTG2.5 COMAND, TV, DAB, Harmon Kardon, Media Interface, Comfort Phone, Garage Door Opener, Performance Pack steering wheel and leather covered airbag and the SL65 two tone 19" wheels.

I did the SL55 as I have had it from new, and I did the wheels to make it look different, the steering wheel because I hated the horrible hard wheel, and then the technology refresh as the COMAND really niggled but the price gap to a SL63 was too much.

Theres a lot more I could do on the ML63 but I don't yet see the point - I suspect its just because it is newer, so thats why you see so many keen on modding the '55s but not yet the 63s ?

Good Luck !

Richard

The 63 engine has been around for 7 years now the options are getting wider and will gain even more pace, a few more companies have launched superchargers for them and once a few hit the streets everyone will forget the 55K and 32K sad but true.

My own attention has started to wander hmmm maybe a CLS63 with Weistec supercharger bolted on stage 3 of course

2007 E63 amg
has map but other opions seem to be cost prohibitive for the gains.
Stuff that i may be interested in later
exhaust headers,
Intake
Not much else available - supercharger makes my eyes water but cost wise probably a few years saving..

Had a good meeting today with my lead designer.....looks like we will be producing our own valvetronic Exhaust for C63... First stage will be direct bolt on that removes secondary resonater adds valvetronic mufflers...Stage two will also add x pipe, remove secondary cats etc. Plan is for 3" :D

I will be able to help soon with regards to the map and pulley.

Hi Phil - can you give any idea on pricing yet? This is something that I will definitely be looking to do on my 2011 C63 PPP estate, but some of the prices from other manufacturers have put me off to date.

If you need an estate test car for the new system, let me know, I'm not too far away from you!!

Ok so the plan at the moment is to have 3 stages...

1st stage - Bolt on from secondary cat back, delete resonator, replace rear mufflers with Valvetronic setup.

2nd stage - Primary Catback, optional X, H, or Straight pipe mid, then as above.

3rd stage - Headers sports cats, as above.

The system will be 3", we will potentially look at a couple of tip options aswell.

Pricing is estimate....but I would expect RRP for Stage 2 approx £2300 inc VAT this will also include all valves and Electronics etc.

A non valved option (but can be upgraded later) would probably be approx £1980 inc VAT

1st stage. Phone Bruce

2nd stage. Fit kit to his c55 estate.

3rd stage. Enjoy the free adverting that Bruce gives you.

Dragons Den. Here I come.

pics please. lovely lovely wheels, but terrifyingly expensive

Finish and huge difference in weight makes it worthwhile.

Here you go. :thumb:
