Wrong a/c condensor fitted

Hi all,

I stupidly replaced the a/c condensor on my w203 with the wrong one (A2035002154 rather than the correct A2035000854) and put everything back together before trying to plug in the pressure sensor connector plug which is different. The condensor seems to be the same apart from the pressure sensor itself which has a larger diameter thread on the original. The hose fittings are exactly the same.

Does anyone know if I can just use a thread reducing adapter to fit the old pressure sensor in the new condensor?

When I had the condenser changed on my 209 the replacement was £700 from mb ! So my local ac specialist bought a similar one from beru for a quarter of the cost and adapted with brass fittings. Not sure if it was the pressure sensor but worked just fine.
