newbie!!!
ive just tried retro fitting xenons on my 06 plate vito and the kit will switch on and then pulse? any ideas why the power comes and goes to the lights?

if i wire this kit to anything else including straight to a battery it works wonderful.

The power consumption is quite different to halogen bulbs, so it's probably confusing the bulb failure monitoring ... or something along those lines. Similarly the LED towing electrics test plug I have doesn't work on my Vito, whereas real bulbs hooked up to the socket (factory electrics) operate fine.

On vehicles with a HID headlight option you can get a dealer or independant to 'tell' the computer the car now has them fitted via the diagnostic interface (STAR). But AFAIK there is no such option for the Vito (or Viano), so I think you're stuck.

As an aside, a HID retrofit would be illegal anyway.

not to worried about the legality of it.
so not to much can be done then? i mean like a way around the wiring or a different way of doing it?

Not as far as I know.

Seems bizarre you can have OEM Xenons on a £15k Sprinter but not a £35k Viano.
