I spec'd multibeam LEDs on my S213 (E-Class estate) and it's one of the options I'm most looking forward to. My commute is 20 miles of country B-roads. Shame it's arriving just as the clocks go forward :p.

If they increase it to 80, 90 will be the norm. I'm not sure there's anything particularly wrong with the current limit. Change for the sake of change.

Does the premium plus package come with comfort seats? I think the dealer said you get fully electric front seats with lumbar adjustment if you go for premium plus. Or are you talking about ventilated massaging etc. functionality (if they even offer ventilated seats?), in which case we've not...

Wow, that is properly murdered out. Probably appropriate for that car, but black / black / black is just a bit too morbid for me! Not that I'd complain mind; absolute weapon of a car!

I've got a car with the newer 220D coming and found it fairly refined at test drive, but frankly I cringe at myself buying an E-Class with a 4 pot. However the money simply ran out and the alternatives for the money, i.e. an F10 530D BMW or something, were inferior as they've been out a while...

Thanks for this JBD. I'm trying to arm myself with more information for round 2, and I'm not sure I quite understand the above. The dealership is saying they've submitted the order to the factory yet you seem to be saying the dealership can't place an order until they have a build slot from MB...

Sadly (for me) I fear that this is very true! Anyway the dealer are still optimistic for a delivery by March, 'shortage won't go on that long' etc., but we'll see.

Agree the car is otherwise great, but the full digital widescreen cockpit transforms the interior imo and makes it feel almost like an S-Class. I'll bide my time for a bit and keep my eye on developments.

Ah, damn...thanks for the links. It all sounds like I could be waiting a very long time then! Think I'll wait it out until January then re-assess. I really want HUD, but no widescreen cockpit is a deal breaker.
