You need a hard wire kit, then you can set the battery voltage that you want the camera to shut down at. I dumped Nextbase after having three changed under the very dodgy warranty they offer. Went all in with Blackvue and never had any issues or flat batteries.
I have a pair of genuine MB rear springs that have done about 500 miles. They are pretty much as new, with top rubber mounts included, came off my CLK when I fitted Eibach's. Markings are 3 BLUE which is sport suspension spec. I also have a pair of complete front struts that also have newish...
I would think that the yaw sensor and steering angle sensors need re-calibrating. icarsoft may do it for you ? The sensors new to talk to each other, I did this on one our Ducato's a while back. Unless everything is calibrated you will get all manner of ABS ESP errors.
If it helps. When I did my W209 audio upgrade the headlining came out, but I seem to recall that the shark fin was directly above the rear dome light unit. So you may be able to get at it from there. Mine was held in place by a single nut.
How much coolant do you have to add to bring the level back up ? As Alpha says head gasket leaking coolant would explain the white stuff coming from the exhaust and possibly the rough running from cold.
And recut the injector seats if they need it, plus Honda injector seal are often used rather than MB. Apparently they are a bit thicker and give a more effective crush, making them less prone to leaking.
I have DAB in my CLK via the Pioneer Avic-920 head unit. Never had a problem with DAB drop out, but then I do have 120 quid's worth of shark fin on the roof. It is amplified and handles DAB/FM/AM/GPS. Our 2020 Fiat Ducato has factory set up and DAB is rubbish, our 4 month old Sprinter with...
Did they snap it when trying to remove it ? Or did they snap the new one when refitting it ? Either way drilling it out will require some care as things could get worse. Best left to a specialist to extract the broken bolt and then fit a helicoil or such like. Drilling and tapping to take an...
Second hand suspension parts are a bit of a gamble. I would never even consider used control arms Etc. My choice of brand is Lemforder every time, despite the mad prices. Getting an indi to fit used parts could be a problem, mine will not do it. MB stuff is pricey and mostly made by third parties.
Matching part numbers for sensors is a bit of a lottery, some work some don't. I bought an after market cam sensor for one of our Ducato's when Fiat had no stock and it was OK, exhaust/emissions stuff is a bit hit and miss.
The upside of replacing them in pairs is that you can forget about them. if the other side goes next week you are doing the job again. If the O/S has gone the N/S could be very close behind it.
Sounds like good diagnosis. Ball joint wear is a common cause of shuddering under braking from speed. The arms should be replaced in pairs. Quality of the arms is important, I only use Lemforder.
