Thanks for this......I'm not sure if I understand correctly but are you saying that the pilot bush must be out of the vehicle before it's possible to advance any further ? does that mean plastic receptacle that is attached to the gearbox will have to drilled out or similar ? assuming that this...
Hi all, my brother in law (who is a very experienced in dependant mechanic) has followed the guide in the how to section for replacing the ATF, filter etc on the above box which is in my wifes 54 plate W203 Sports Coupe. In post 4 of the guide "olly" mentions that the pivot bush leaks sometimes...
Hi Timster thanks for that....I've looked at changing the ATF guide and it looks complicated, anyone know of an independent in the North West (North Wales) preferably who could do this and what would be the approximate cost ?
I will give the Italian tune up a go....seems like a bit of a hill...
Hi guys,
This is my wife's car and as such I hardly ever drive it but I've done a 200 mile trip today and noticed a couple of things wrong the first being excessive smoke when accelerating and even from a standstill...i.e pulling out of a junction. The second is that there seems to be a...
Thanks for that....better to stick to a 53 on model then, I had noticed the widescreen DVD command and thought that was one thing to look out for, the galvanising makes all the difference especially having run a W210 for about 4 years...great car but the rust !
Sorry for the very late update guys....called the guy about the car for some info but when I called back a few days later there was no answer.
So I'm still looking but must admit very nervous lol........the possible issues / costs are worrying ! At least help will be at hand from you...

Are there any indy's in north wales ? I think there's one near St Asaph and if anyone has information about this (or another) that would be great.

Do you mean purchase an S class for 2 K ? I don't think I would sleep from day 1 lol I have seen a couple of S classes with around 100k miles that go for around 5k but would be very nervous of one going for 2k ..with major mileage most probably.
Do they all rust...
Hi Guys,

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if alloy wheels from a c190 (part no 2104010102) will fit my e 220cdi estate classic .
The are both 15" and wear 205/60 rubber.
thanks.
Ok..thanks guys.
Just rang the nearest MD and the kit (cup and some sort of bearing) are £32 each so will do both sides...now to find a body shop that can do it ?? I take it placement of the cup is straightforward ?? and I imagine it will need tracking / alignment ?
Cheers.

Hi Guys,
Just a heads up to anyone experiencing the same problem and some advice !
The left indicator on my W210 stayed on one night (while the mrs was driving) so I had a little look when she got home and found that indeed the indicator stayed on continiously when in the "neutral" position...
